Acryl (CEO Park Oe-jin), an artificial intelligence (AI) company, announced on the 21st that it has been selected as a '2024 Excellent Corporate Research Institute' designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT.


Acryl's AI Research Institute recently presented the 'PeRF: Preemption-enabled RDMA FRAMEwork' paper at the 'USENIX Annual Technical Conference (ATC)' held in California, USA, suggesting new possibilities for RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) technology. RDMA technology is an innovative technology that enables direct access between memories without going through the CPU when transmitting data, providing high performance and low delay time.

Acryl's 'PeRF' framework maximizes performance by adding a preemption function to this RDMA technology, and the company said that this can dramatically improve data processing speed, and that AI infrastructure technology is expected to bring practical efficiency to various industries.
