[Medical Today=Reporter Junsu Kim] On the 1st, the Korean Society of Functional Medicine and the artificial intelligence company Acryl signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) that will open a new chapter in future medicine. Through this agreement, it is expected that data specialized for the wellness industry will be utilized to suggest treatment directions for functional medicine and AI-based research will lead to innovation in digital healthcare.
The MOU signing ceremony was held at Acryl headquarters, and Chairman Beomtaek Kim and Chairman Jinkyu Park of the Korean Society of Functional Medicine and CEO Oejin Park of Acryl attended.
At the event, Chairman Beomtaek Kim said, “We will be able to lead the paradigm of future medicine through cooperation between the two organizations,” and added, “I hope that the medical community and hospital officials will take a lot of interest in this research.”
CEO Oejin Park of Acryl emphasized, “We will open a new horizon in digital healthcare by combining wellness data and functional medicine treatment experience with AI technology.”
Through this agreement, the two organizations announced that they plan to continuously pursue joint research for the development of the wellness industry and the promotion of national health. Research based on data specialized in the well-being industry is expected to play an important role in promoting industrial activation and establishing follow-up research directions by deriving systematic research results. In addition, we plan to promote innovative medical data and artificial intelligence research through mutual support and produce practical research results.
In particular, we plan to explore various ways to improve national health through data analysis and present innovative personalized health management plans.
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2013, the Korean Society of Functional Medicine has strived for comprehensive personalized treatment including individual eating habits, lifestyle habits, and stress management, with the goal of optimizing health by considering individual physiological, genetic, and environmental differences beyond simple disease treatment. Under the leadership of the 5th Chairman Kim Kwang-min, the current Chairman Lee Jae-cheol, and the 6th Chairman Kim Beom-taek and Chairman Park Jin-gyu, more doctors are showing interest in the Korean Society of Functional Medicine than before by holding various academic events such as the 2024 Spring Conference and Summer Training Course. With this agreement, the Korean Society of Functional Medicine and Acryl announced that they will work even harder to open new horizons in future medicine.
