ACRYL, a key company in 'Sovereign AI,' is embarking on the development of a 'Korean AI (Artificial Intelligence) Education Platform.' ACRYL announced on the 5th that it has signed a strategic partnership with three edutech companies—Eduwill, Uniwide, and Fox Connect—for the joint development of the 'K-AI Education Platform.'
This collaboration framework goes beyond simple technology demonstration or individual service integration, with the core objective of developing an AI education platform that can be immediately applied in actual educational settings. In the project, ACRYL will oversee all AI technology aspects, including overall platform construction based on its AX infrastructure 'Jonathan,' AI development educational tools, and lightweight AI tutoring system development.
If the project is successfully completed, a 'standardized AI education platform model' that can be universally utilized in educational settings is expected to be established. In particular, the plan extends beyond Korea to pursue AI education platform model development tailored to local environments for global education markets including the United States, India, and Kenya.
Eduwill, which signed the partnership with ACRYL, is a leading Korean lifelong education company with over 5 million cumulative members. It plans to launch AI education services targeting the relevant market by leveraging its educational content and operational capabilities for adults and working professionals.
Uniwide is a company specializing in the development of learning computers and educational devices, with numerous educational infrastructure construction references including the Gyeongnam Office of Education's Future Education Support Platform construction project. ACRYL plans to work with Uniwide to develop device-server integrated solutions optimized for AI learning environments.
Fox Connect is an edutech company that has presented future education models through collaboration with schools and public education institutions based on its hybrid learning platform. The two companies will develop lifecycle-customized AI learning services connecting K-12 education through adult education.
ACRYL plans to use this project as an opportunity to advance the K-AI Education Platform into a SaaS-type universal education AX infrastructure. With AI adoption accelerating in the education sector through recent AI digital textbook selections and expansion of digital leading schools, the strategy is to preempt the related market.
According to the company, ACRYL already possesses numerous AI construction project references for public institutions, and the three edutech companies have also secured joint construction and operation experience through education office education support platform projects, giving them a competitive advantage.
According to market research firm 'HolonIQ,' the global edutech market is projected to grow to approximately $400 billion (about 600 trillion Korean won) by 2025. Amid this trend, with the emergence of ChatGPT, movements toward AI technology adoption are rapidly spreading in the industry.
An ACRYL official stated, "This collaboration is a case demonstrating that AX infrastructure operates as a practical business model in the education sector as well," adding, "Starting with education, we will continue to expand AI transformation into various industries including public sector, manufacturing, and healthcare."
Meanwhile, in line with
the Korean government's 'Sovereign AI' policy direction, various government
ministries have recently been unveiling blueprints for 'AI Transformation
(AX).' AI Transformation refers to structural change where industries,
companies, organizations, work methods, and business models overall are
reorganized around AI, going beyond the level of simply adopting AI. This is
expected to work favorably for ACRYL, an AI Transformation (AX) infrastructure
specialist company that provides full-cycle services from AI data labeling to
platform construction and operation. <End>
