Acryl Inc. (CEO Jin Park), a leading AI platform company, is taking a major step into the field of hospital infection control with its LLMOps platform ‘Jonathan’ and its advanced Agentic AI technology. The company announced that the consortium led by Kyungpook National University Hospital, in which Acryl participates, has been selected for the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s flagship Korean ARPA-H Project to conduct research on “Convergence Intelligent Agent-Based Personalized Hospital Infection Control.”

In collaboration with major medical institutions including Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital, Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital, and Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Acryl will develop and validate an Agentic-ASP (Antimicrobial Stewardship Program) system for intelligent antibiotic use optimization. Funded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute’s K-Health Future Initiative, this large-scale national project aims to fundamentally address hospital infection challenges through the collaborative intelligence of AI agents.

Acryl’s competitive edge lies in its proven Jonathan platform. Jonathan reduces client development and deployment costs and timelines by over 70%, accelerates LLM training speed by 53% through GPU optimization, and was recognized with the Grand Prize at the 2024 AI Service Awards.

The company plans to evolve Jonathan from a model-centric LLMOps platform into a next-generation AgentOps platform where autonomous AI agents interact organically in real-time. For the first time in Korea’s medical sector, this will enable a Synergistic AI Multi-Agent environment where multiple AI agents collaborate to deliver optimal decision-making in hospital operations.

“Through this project, we aim to prove that Jonathan’s robust infrastructure and operational expertise—combined with customization, automation, and responsive intelligence capabilities—can effectively solve hospital infection control challenges,” said Jin Park, CEO of Acryl. “This will be the first case demonstrating that multi-agent technology, surpassing the limits of a single AI model, offers an innovative approach to addressing complex medical field challenges.”

"The most virtuous mission for AI is advancing healthcare"

Park further emphasized, “The most meaningful contribution AI can make to humanity is supporting healthier lives. Acryl’s Agentic AI technology will help solve complex problems in healthcare, reduce the workload for medical professionals, and ultimately improve patient outcomes.”

Acryl has already established differentiated expertise in the Agentic AI domain. In 2024, the company presented research at world-leading AI conferences such as NeurIPS and EMNLP on LLM RAG extension for embodied agents and hierarchical task planning with LLMs. Its Korean large language model ‘Arum’ (A-LLM) ranked #1 in the open-source category of W&B’s ‘Tiger Leaderboard’ for four consecutive months.

In 2025, Acryl, together with Sungkyunkwan University, was also selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT’s AI Star Fellowship Support Project, a ₩11.55 billion initiative for next-generation AI agent technology development. The company has also secured regulatory approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for four AI-based medical devices covering depression, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and more—underscoring its healthcare AI capabilities.

Financially, Acryl maintains annual revenues exceeding ₩10 billion and is undergoing IPO review. Its 80+ client portfolio spans central government agencies such as the Ministry of Unification and Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, as well as major corporations like LG Electronics. The company has received multiple top industry honors, including the Minister of Science and ICT Award at the Korea AI Industry Awards and the Prime Minister’s Award at the SW Product Awards. In addition, Acryl has been named to the Emerging AI+X Top 100 by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Association for five consecutive years, and to Forbes Korea’s AI 50 list for two consecutive years—an achievement held by only a few select companies.
