The Small “s” That Will Lead to Great “Soo (秀)”

We are living in the age of artificial intelligence, where extraordinary “intelligences” perform astonishing feats every day.

OpenAI hosted an unprecedented 12-day tech event showcasing its products and technologies, while Google unveiled its highly anticipated “Gemini 2.0.”

The growing number of AI experts are offering a medley of opinions, adding their voices to this whirlwind of technological and aspirational chaos.

With individual thoughts and the uncertainties of the future tossed into the mix, it feels like a curious bibimbap dish straight out of <Culinary Class Wars>, waiting for the world’s judgment. Whether I can truly call this dish “delicious,” I honestly can’t say.

Yet one thing is certain: artificial intelligence is a “mathematical marvel” created by the accumulation of countless small elements. (I’ll spare you the discussion of the universal approximation theorem, a cornerstone of deep learning.)

This principle closely mirrors the grandeur and majesty of life itself—something we’ve long believed in and experienced.

And I hope this truth remains free from ideological labels ending in “-ism,” for it’s a story too marvelous to confine within such boundaries.

In English, plural forms are often created by adding “s.”

So, with a playful twist, I’ve decided to call the “small things” we possess “s.”

Yes, when these “s” come together, they can create something truly great and extraordinary—what we call Soo (秀), or excellence.

While I hesitate to call myself an “AI expert,” observing AI every day has brought me to this realization.

Perhaps it’s the weight of 2025, marking a quarter of the 21st century, or maybe it’s a sense of guilt for having overlooked my own small “s” while chasing after grand “Soo.”

That’s why I’ve decided to rediscover not just one “s” but all of my small “s” this year.

In 2025, I will dedicate myself to gathering these “s.”

Even if what I create doesn’t qualify as Soo, that’s okay.

Whether it’s the agent-based RAG technology we’re currently developing, innovative AI solutions in healthcare, or preparations for our IPO and revenue plans—these are all “s” of immense value, even if they don’t seem like Soo at first glance.

I hope to be someone who continuously aspires toward a better “Soo,” even if I don’t fully understand it yet.

And I hope the world will do the same.

I earnestly wish for a future where we all recognize that the grand and extraordinary are built upon the foundation of small, yet indispensable, “s.”

Here’s to a 2025 where this beautiful truth becomes a reality.
