AI specialist company ACRYL (CEO Jin Park) introduced Jonathan at the AI Tech+ 2024 (Gwangju) exhibition held for two days from November 28th to 29th.
Jonathan is an integrated platform that supports the entire process of AI construction and introduction, including data collection and processing, AI model development and learning, verification, and distribution.
ACRYL explained that Jonathan provides integrated support for not only the MLOps service that supports the development of machine learning and deep learning models, but also the LLMOps service that allows customization of recently popular large language models (LLMs) according to customer data and requirements, simplifying the complex AI development process and allowing efficient project promotion without having to separately organize AI experts, which can significantly reduce initial investment costs.
Jonathan was designed with a focus on maximizing resource utilization and increasing operational efficiency through virtualization of hardware resources.
An ACRYL official said, “Jonathan is equipped with GPU utilization optimization technology that is particularly effective in developing and operating large-scale AI models such as LLM,” and “These technologies have been presented at world-class AI academic conferences such as NeurIPS, EMNLP, and USENIX ATC, and have been recognized internationally for their performance and technology.”
In the future, Jonathan plans to provide an AI development and operation environment that utilizes the neural network processing unit (NPU), which is attracting attention as a next-generation AI computing device beyond GPUs. By supporting NPUs, heterogeneous AI computing accelerators including GPUs can be efficiently utilized. This is expected to reduce the inefficiency of existing AI infrastructure resource utilization and further reduce AI model development and operation costs.
These technologies are being developed with the support of the “PIM-NPU-based Large-Scale Artificial Neural Network Processing Platform SW Technology Development” project and the “Commercial Edge AI SoC Semiconductor SW Development Platform Technology Development” project promoted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information and Communications Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP), and the new version of Jonathan equipped with these is aimed for release in the first half of 2025.
ACRYL plans to present the possibilities and future vision of AI technology that Jonathan can show through this AI Tech+ 2024 exhibition, and to continue research and development and cooperation to support the introduction and use of AI in various industrial fields.
